Merci Paris
We've reached the last full day of my Contiki tour before we headed back to London the next morning. My notes tell me, "Breakfast. All the chocolate. All the pastries."
I can't actually remember how much chocolate and how many pastries I ate, but I wouldn't be surprised if I did eat all of them. Much like my current quarantine diet.
It was December 8, 2018 and most of Paris was closed, but Montmartre was still open and still safe.

We wandered the streets, taking in all the art.

Sacre Cour is a beautiful church.

Olivia, Meagan, Liv, Fi and I had made the most of Liv’s selfie stick purchase at the beginning of the Contiki Tour.

We hit up a cafe and did a spot of shopping.

I had my portrait sketched.

The portrait currently sits in the back of my cupboard never to see the light of day.

A lot of the Contiki tourists decided the final city of the tour was good place to get a tattoo.

Following our day out in Montmartre we got ready back at the hotel. It was the final night of Contiki, so we had a family dinner with everyone from the trip.

Once we finished our dinner we were off to the Moulin Rouge.

A photo shoot inevitably ensued.

The venue was stunning, but the show was not.

Honestly, I was disappointed by the haphazard variety show that jumped from one poorly choreographed theme to the next.
My disappointment didn't put a damper on my incredible Contiki experience. Once the world opens up again, I'd definitely recommend a Contiki tour. Leave planning the accommodation, travel and most meals to them. It's not just about the ease of travel. You’ll leave with memories that will last a lifetime... especially if you compile those memories into a blog.

Thank you to everyone who made my 23 day tour around Europe one of the best holidays. While the world works its way through this pandemic please stay strong, and stay safe.
