In London Town
In November last year Samantha and I spent some time exploring London. We were a little early for our time slot in the Sky Garden, so we decided to go for a stroll. We saw the monument to the Great Fire of London.

We walked through Leadenhall Market, which featured in the Harry Potter franchise.

I finally caught a proper glimpse of Tower Bridge after more than two years of living in England. There it is in the background.

I captured more than a few photos of the bridge as we walked closer. I won’t subject you to them all.

This panorama pans from the city's contemporary architecture on the left, to its historical structures.

We walked across the iconic bridge.

On the other side of the river we passed the Tower of London. Built in 1066, it's on my list of places in London I'm yet to visit. The 2018 television series Secrets of the Tower of London is highly recommended viewing for anybody interested in discovering more about the history of the location.

We made our way back to the Walkie Talkie building, which can be seen in the background.

At the top of the building is the Sky Garden.

It offers incredible views of London.

Writing on the windows indicate various things that can be seen from each view. Samantha and I couldn't spot the Olympic Stadium.

We found the Shard though.

Back outside we witnessed St Paul's Cathedral in a glorious golden light.

We also saw the Royal Courts of Justice.

After picking up our tickets for Mary Poppins we dropped into the Theatre Cafe.

We also stumbled across a gathering taking place at Seven Dials to celebrate switching on the Christmas lights.

The gathering included free prosecco and glitter paint.

Samantha and I saw the magical Mary Poppins with glittery faces.

The next day we did a spot of shopping at Westfield Stratford City.

We grabbed lunch from Wagamama's and saw Maleficent: Mistress of Evil at the movies.

Make sure you come back for more exciting adventures in London town.
