This Is Australia
I was a couple of weeks into my holiday in Australia back in December 2018. I made the most of the opportunity to catch up with friends. You might remember Henry from my previous blog post. I'm always happy to share the spotlight with him,

and his mum, Amy.

The next day I did a little photo shoot on my mum's front step before heading out for dinner with some Blue Mountains Musical Society friends at 2773 in Glenbrook.

We couldn't leave without the awkward daughters getting a photo together. (We all played daughters in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in 2016 and have been doing awkward family photo shoots ever since.)

New Year's Eve started with seeing the touching, biographical film, Bohemian Rhapsody at Glenbrook Cinema.

Later that night I headed over to Keish and Steven's place to ring in the new year. Their daughter, Michaela, was having a great time.

That is until we tried to get her to take a photo with Keish, me and two of our other friends from high school, Laur and Leash.

I don't blame her. We are a little crazy.

Lish was loving his glowstick necklace,

and Steven was loving the selfies.

A few days later mum and I caught up with Grandpa, and Irene at her retirement village cafe.

The next day Ryan held a pool party at his place.

Sadly, Jess and I didn't have any nuggies, but I did get to try the new Vegemite Shapes. I'm not a fan of Vegemite, but I was a fan of the new biscuit variety.

There were board games and a cage. Standard.

Mum and I returned to Glenbrook Cinema for our third movie of the summer. This time it was Mary Poppins Returns.

We'd reserved our seats online. Thank goodness. Who knows if we would've gotten seats if we didn't.

The next night's dinner was at David and Sue's place. It's always great to catch up over a home cooked meal, and dessert.

Stay tuned for the next blog post about my trip to Queensland.
