A Full Disney Day Continued
Samantha and I continued our Disney day, finding our way through Alice's Curious Labyrinth.
A trip through the Queen of Hearts Maze was on the cards.
At the top of the Queen's castle we looked down upon Disneyland Paris.
We made the most of the photo op by the exit... for the blog, of course.
Next we hopped into a Storybook Land Canal Boat.
We sailed past storybook scenes.
If you look closely at the next photo you can see Dorothy, Scarecrow, Lion and Tin Man at the steps of the Emerald City.
The voyage through It's a Small World saw me visiting countries I've lived in. I dropped by England,
Australia,
and the US.
We then zoomed through space on Hyperspace Mountain.
We also visited Captain Nemo's Nautilus where we spotted this impressive organ.
After the fireworks we still had some time to kill before our pre-booked dinner show, so made our way to the lavish Disneyland Hotel. Here we inspected the gingerbread house in the foyer.
Then we relaxed in the hotel lounge where we saw a few characters walk by.
We then got kicked out of the lounge (very politely) because we weren't buying any drinks, did a little window shopping and walked to the Wild West Dinner Show.
I'd booked tickets to this show without really researching what it was. It was one of the suggested add-ons when purchasing the Disneyland Paris vacation package. I love Disney, I love Mickey and his pals, I love shows, and I love dinner, so surely it would be good.
The pre-show experience was the best part. Mickey handed everyone a hat.
It was of course compulsory for us to pose in them.
We heard some music and stories.
Then we entered the arena.
Samantha and I were in the cheap seats.
The Tex Mex set menu was pretty tasty.
The Wild West Dinner Show included demonstrations. There was also audience participation with games where the crowd was divided into four competing teams.
Were we truly appreciating the Native American culture for its rich history and traditions?
And why didn't we get to see more of Mickey and the gang?
Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale were definitely a production highlight.
Our full day at Disneyland Paris had come to an end. The next day would be the end of our Parisian vacation.
