Christmas in Wisconsin

I was nearing the end of my most recent trip to the USA in December. It wouldn't be right if I didn't stop by Wisconsin to see one of my adopted American families.

JJ was thrilled to see me, and star on my social media.

Kyra and I were reunited.

The next day we visited the German Christmas Market - Christkindlmarket Milwaukee.

For some reason our faces were ridiculously zoomed in in the photo booth photo.

We had lunch at Good City Brewing.

The Bucks are Milwaukee's basketball team.

Of course, Kyra had to get a photo with the K.

And I had to pose with the C.

The antlers are so close to looking like they're on my head.

It's actually impossible to visit Wisconsin without trying some cheese, so off to the Wisconsin Cheese Mart we went.

Some of the cheese tasted just like chocolate. Gotta love unsupervised free samples.

Milwaukee is quite a beautiful city to stroll through.

Kyra and I were chilling with a couple of old fashioneds when an ad for Reese's peanut butter trees came on.

Turns out Mom Nowacki had some lying around, so I got to try one.

The following day I went to Fox River Christian Church with the Nowackis. Kyra's sister and niece were there, and so was Elsa. Elyse was a little scared to meet the queen.

After church Mom Nowacki, Kyra and I hit up the grocery store. Any opportunity to pose for the blog.

On our trip to the store we bought some gingerbread men and icing. We were ready to make masterpieces.

#Stunning #Brilliant #Amazing

In case you can't tell, they are us in gingerbread form.

Kyra made a masterpiece for JJ too.

When you get a brief premonition of what 2020 will look like.

Ok, so maybe our gingerbread women and cat look terrible, but they really did taste #delicious.

The french toast and bacon lunch was pretty delectable too.

That evening we headed over to Katlyn (Kyra's sister), Brad, Elyse and Henry's new place.

We exchanged gifts.

Elyse was very keen to help me with my stocking.

Henry and Chuckles the Monkey have the same adorable, chubby cheeks.

I was the guest of honour and opened a new board game for us to play.

One of my opponents was very tough.

Kyra and I did manage to win a round. Elyse gave me a sticker and declared that I was the winner. Apparently Kyra was the snake.

After some more games, singing, dancing and dessert it was time to leave.

The following day we hit up a festival. Well, it was the food store, Festival of Foods. All the big names were there, like Vanilla Ice Ice-Cream.

Then we got some cheese curds.

We had a little German food.

Saw a squirrel.

Then it was time for me to head back to New York.
