Exploring Oz
I've been doing some exploring lately. About a month ago I caught up with Amy at Emu Hall.
It was a nice day for some outdoor social distancing from the other customers.
I opted for the pumpkin, haloumi salad while Amy chose the Biscoff pancakes. Why was I trying to be healthy when there were delicious pancakes on the menu? I guess we'll never know.
I also met Steph's newest addition to the family - Xavier. He's doing his best model stare here. Maybe he was working the angles for his blog debut. Xavie did also reveal his gorgeous smile, but I didn’t capture it on camera.
Adelyn very generously shared her food with me. It was the experience of sharing food without the calories.
A couple of weeks ago I felt like going on an adventure up the Blue Mountains. I recruited Mum and off we went on a day trip. Our first stop was the quaint town of Leura with its historical buildings, cars and clothes.
At first I just did a little window shopping along Leura Mall.
Then I found this magical notebook at Quidditas.
Thankfully I needed a new notebook, so I had an excuse to buy it.
We explored a few other stores, including Geekdom decked out with Harry Potter and Marvel merch.
The hand sanitiser station at The Nook wasn't supposed to be in the photo, but I guess now is a good time to mention the COVID safety measures in place.
Each store had social distancing, along with signs stating the number of people allowed inside. Plus they offered hand sanitiser.
I also got some photos on the stairs with the sanny.
The Nook supports local businesses, such as Miss MoMo.
You might've heard of Emily in Paris, but what about Clary in Paris (don't forget to say it with a French accent).
And here's Annie in Paris.
I may or may not have told my Mum to get a photo looking up at the Eiffel Tower.
I also took a more normal photo of her next to this artwork. This way I could ensure I wouldn't forget where we'd been.
Our next stop was Nooroo Garden, but as we were getting into the car, which we'd parked near Woolies we noticed a cute cafe.
Wisteria Place had space for lunch for two.
I had the eggs benedict with salmon, and Mum had the fish and chips, but clearly stated she did not want any salad. I then decided that the chips could be considered fried potato stick salad.
After our meals we headed up to Nooroo Garden in Mount Wilson. Stay tuned for some floral delights in the next blog post.
