Bye 2020, Hi 2021
Towards the end of last year and before the current visitor restrictions were implemented, Elena hosted a gathering for some dancers who met through Blue Mountains Musical Society. My first priority was cuddles with Elena's cutie - Nico.
Elena gave us all these cute #IMADANCER glasses.
Linda took a photo of the group, but I thought she needed to be in a photo too.
Did I get up and take a group selfie? Nope, but I did take a photo of Linda. Amy cottoned on at first.
The next thing Daisy realised it was her blog debut, so did a little back arch.
Linda was inspired by Daisy's modelling, and decided she wanted to do a back arch too.
Not long after that gathering December 31, 2020 arrived. I've had some pretty exciting New Year's Eves in the past, and this wasn't going to be any different. Even if I was just at home with my mum and step-dad. I got dressed up and did a little photo shoot.
It was time to kiss 2020 goodbye.
The celebration turned into a pizza (and garlic bread) party.
It wasn't long before I put my pyjama's on... with a few additional accessories, of course. This wasn't your standard evening.
Mum and Eric's outfits weren't standard either.
I suggested they could do an exciting pose and this was the result.
A party isn't complete without at least one game, so we played Busy Bees.
The rules? While the music is on you buzz (or dance) around like a bee, then when the music stops the person who is in picks a colour. Then everyone has to pose like something that is that colour and everyone else has to guess what they are.
The colour for this pose was pink....
Mum was a pink shell, apparently. We needed clues for this one.
The dessert table took hours to set up. I personally handcrafted the chocolates and their packaging. Some people will say I'm lying and they'd be right.
I was also the bartender that evening. I made my famous Bailey's with chocolate milk, ice-cream and a Lindt ball cocktails.
Then we enjoyed them on our spot by Sydney Harbour. I couldn't believe we had such an incredible view of the fireworks.
We spoke to the Bravos, where it was still 2020. Since I was from the future I informed them 2021 seemed to be pretty much just like 2020.
When it was the Bravos turn to farewell 2020 I joined the party with a video call and hosted a mini dance class.
The next day Adelyn was walking down the stairs and then she just stopped on the middle step and laid down. She was pooped.
She's found herself in a couple of weird spots this year. She pulled her doll out of her stroller, then climbed in, only to proclaim, "Stuck," a short time later.
Just a few days into the year I made it to the theatre... The TikTok theatre that is. It was nice to see people from around the world come together to create art, even if it was a little cheesy.
I've even had some baby cuddles this year too. I know it looks like Daisy is plotting her escape her, but I promise we were having a great chat.
And now I'm up-to-date with my blog for probably the third time ever. Maybe 2021 is going to be a year of change. I've got some more blog-worthy adventures on the horizon, so I'm sure I'll behind with my blog again in no time.
