Superhero Soiree and a Pixar Party

If you've been following my lockdown adventures you'll know that every Saturday I host a themed event for my Mum, step-dad and I. A couple of weeks ago it was Superhero Saturday.

I was Iron Woman.

Mum was Wonder? Woman.

Eric was Supper-man.

I treated myself to a super dinner of pancakes, vanilla ice-cream, golden syrup and crispy M&Ms.

Our activity that night was a couple of drawing tutorials I found on YouTube, which I've linked at the end of this blog post.

The first was quite detailed.

A paused the video a few times as an artist talked us through how to draw Captain America.

The next tutorial was simpler, but didn't include any talking. I'm not quite sure why I gave Batman such a muscular neck.

I added to some shoulders so it didn't look like he was just floating.

Just over a week ago we had a Pixar Party.

I dressed up as Darla from Finding Nemo.

Mum was Jessie from Toy Story 2.

I asked if she wanted to do another pose and this is what she came up with.

Eric was Carl from Up.

We listened to a Pixar playlist while we completed a crossword and a word search.

We also did some colouring in.

We then watched Pixar's latest adorable offering, Luca.

Not long before our Pixar Party I found these suggestions on their Instagram page for a little self-care.

I hope everyone is staying safe and coping ok in these now precedented times.
