Family Selfie Studio Session

Back in May last year when the Bravo family visited Australia we hit up Snapshot Selfie Gallery. It was in Penrith at the time, but has now moved to Bankstown.


Addy directed these photos.

And served the coffee. 



The selfie studio was the perfect spot to capture memories.

It was also a great spot to film a TikTok.

Our money don’t jiggle. It folds.



Addy even knew what Barrel of Monkeys was because we'd given her some from me and my sister's childhood to play with.



These lights were one of Addy's favourite things there.





We had a wild time.




Perhaps a little too wild for Mum.




We even got Barbie photos over a year before the movie was released.



Addy was a little reluctant at first, but the kept running back for more photos.



Then she swam in the bath.



And we all sat in the rain.




We were all loving our time in the studio.




Some of the props looked a little too realistic. I don't think you're supposed to lick the ice block.



At first Addy was confused about why I wasn't using the lemons for cutting.



Then she figured out what to do.


Carlos was exploding with excitement.



Then the Bravos found the confetti corner.




Later that day, back at the hotel, I showed Addy some of the dances I'd choreographed.

That Time I Surprised Addy

At the beginning of last year I decided it would be fun to spend Christmas in New York with my niece. I also thought it would be a good idea to surprise her. A week or so (I actually can’t remember how long before) my mum and I told Addy over a video call that we’d be spending Christmas with her, her mum (my sister, Alicia) and her dad (Carlos). The journey for Mum and I started in Sydney… with a photo for the blog, of course.  After an insane amount of hours flying, an encounter with an angry, egotistical TSA agent (or was that on the way home?) we made it to the newly renovated Terminal B in LaGuardia Airport.  Back tracking a little, Mum and I were lined up to walk past sniffer dogs. Except you couldn’t see what was actually happening because there were partitions. Wisconsin Adventures

While in America in January last year I took a little trip to Wisconsin to visit Kyra and meet her son, Walter, for the first time in real life.  I took off from LaGuardia airport.  And touched down in Milwaukee.  I stayed at Kyra’s parents’ place with Mom and Dad Nowacki (Kyra and her family were one of my adopted families when I lived in America… as a 26 year old).  Kyra, Walter and I ventured Downtown.  We had some snacks and hot drinks.  Walter kept peaking out on the way back to the car. He wanted to know what was going on. I also think he was a little confused that I kept going everywhere with them.  We took a few touristy shots.  And a few festive ones.  We took all these photos for the blog, of course.  We watched a little football.
