Aussie Summer
In January of 2019 Mum and I were on a trip around southeast Queensland. On this day we went to see the lovely new home of family friends Aunty Jo and Uncle Brian. A couple of furry friends, Mollie and Rosie, provided a warm welcome.

There was no cooperation for a selfie.

That night we had a proper Aussie BBQ dinner.

The following day we had lunch at Cafe 63 at Westfield Coomera.

There's quite an incredible playground nearby. Parents can relax in the cafe while supervising their children. We were joined by Brooke and her son, Jackson.

After a little tour of the shopping centre it was time to catch a train to Brisbane Central and then walk up a hill.

We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express at Wharf Street.

I thought I'd left strange shower situations behind when I finished European Contiki tour. Here at the Holiday Inn there was no bathroom door. The shower door became the bathroom door.

Mum was delighted to find her favourite colour in the room.

Later that evening I caught up with Contiki friend, Liv at the Pig 'N' Whistle.

We took a stroll along the river.

We made our way to Riverland, which is full of street food vendors. Liv and I chose to have tasty, well portioned Greek food.

Stick around for even more Brisbane adventures.
