Camber and Rye Appreciation Post
For just over two years I called England's South East coast home. It was the perfect place for exploring. Camber Sands beach was just a short walk from my chalet.

This is the part of the beach where it transitions from sand to pebbles.

It took me a year and half to actually dip my toes in the water.

I also climbed the sand dunes for the first time that day.

Camber Sands is home to a number of restaurants and cafes. Eating outside comes with its own peril, as the seagulls are fans of food theft. I opted to eat my chips inside.

I took the scenic bus ride between Camber and Rye more times than I can count.

Rye is a gorgeous, historic seaside town.

The quaint streets attract tourists from all over.

Mermaid Street is Rye's most iconic location.

Last summer I snapped a couple of selfies there.

During the warmer months the town is blooming with beauty.

I found these flowers near St Mary's Parish Church.

The cute Kino Cinema is close to the church.

I took myself on a date to see Toy Story 4 here.

Built by King Henry III in 1249, the Rye Castle Museum is a cool slice of history, although I never did make it inside.

All the adventures will no doubt leave you a little peckish. Or if you're a constant snacker, like me, you'll be pleased to discover a range of options for eating in Rye.

One day I grabbed a delicious lunch at The Ship Inn with fellow former Bluecoat, Jessica.

On another occasion I sat down for a spot of afternoon tea at Corridor Cafe.

Some people may not be happy with my next statement, but I stand by jam first. Once I tried cream first and it turned into a sloppy disaster.

I have since relocated to the North West of England... and the Coronavirus has sent me on an extended vacation in Australia. I'll always be grateful for the beauty of England's South East...

even if the buses did stop running before 8pm. #nofilter
