Food, Glorious Food

Breakfast at the Holiday Inn at Wharf Street in Brisbane is served in a contemporary dining area.

Following our meal, Mum and I were picked up by her cousin Eleanor and her husband, Gordon. Our first stop was the river.

We ate at River Bar and Kitchen.

Mount Coot-tha was our next stop.

The Brisbane CBD looks quite small from here.

The cafe at the lookout served a delicious citrus tart.

After some relaxation time at the hotel Mum and I got an Uber to Eat Street. For $3 you can enter the street food market.

Apart from a wide variety of food, vendors also sell goods.

You can listen to live music.

There's also the opportunity to play games.

There are a variety of themes throughout the market.

The sunset was pretty spectacular.

After some exploring Mum and I chose to eat Moreton Bay bugs and a seafood basket.

We treated ourselves to some beverages.

Then it was time for a lift back to the hotel, not in a cool van, but in an Uber.

Stay tuned for more adventures in Queensland.
