Adventures Around Town

I've been trying to find fun things to do around town, since it appears I'll be sticking around for a while. About a month ago Mum and I explored our artistic sides at Pinot & Picasso Penrith.

I thought we should take some "action" painting shots before we began. The shots look totally realistic.

As you can see there's definitely paint on my brush.

You can take your own food or I think you can order some food ahead. Other people had wine and cheese platters. Meanwhile we had bottles of water, dip, crackers, Ferrero Rochers and a muesli bar. I think we know who the real winners were.

Here's a little progress shot.

And a genuine painting action shot.

Mum and I were both pretty happy with our backgrounds.

Our Eiffel Towers on the other hand. Not so much. I think mine resembles an electricity tower more. But hey, these artworks were done by struggling artists. We're not struggling financially. We just struggle to do art.

Here are the rest of the artists from that session if you'd like to compare the masterpieces.

Earlier this month. Yes, that's right. I'm now up to blogging about March. Ok, so earlier this month Contiki buddy Rob and I caught up at Circa Espresso in Parramatta.

I’d been there before and enjoyed my meal. This time I just had a hot chocolate, and unfortunately it did not meet my standards.

This month I also got to hang out with Henry and Daisy at Amy's. Henry told me about how he lost his money. (It turns out he'd actually just bought something and hasn't quite grasped to concept of exchanging money for goods.)

Daisy even smiled for the camera this visit.

A couple of weeks ago was the farewell for Bec, Simon, Lucas and Chelsea who have now moved up to Queensland. The farewell was at the The PeachTree Hotel, or as it is more affectionately known, the Peachy. I remember it from the old days when I used to go dancing there some Friday nights. I've grown up a little since then and so has the Peachy. It's a little more upmarket and classy these days.

The farewell was a nice chance to catch up with some people.

It was also a good chance to sample the delicious seafood basket, which included an edible basket. I didn't eat any of it. I just liked that the option to eat it was there.

Dessert was also delectable and immaculately presented.

They also have a brightly coloured playground outside, which Chelsea showed me. We spent most of the time with her walking around pointing at all the colours and her testing me to see if I knew them. After each answer she gave an approving nod and smile, so I think I passed the test.

Indian cuisine from Brick Lane was next on the menu.

I was here with the Forever New crew. You might remember that last time we went out I forgot to get a photo of us at the restaurant, but this time I remembered to get a photo.

While the food was mouth watering, it was also eye watering and nose watering. I'm not best at handling spices, but it you are a little more resistant to spice than me I definitely recommend this restaurant.

I will say the creme caramel was the perfect finish for dinner that night, and for this blog post.

More adventurous tales are on the way to you very soon.
