Christmas in July
Every Saturday in lockdown I hold a themed event for my family. A couple of Saturdays ago it was "Christmas in July/Eric's Birthday".
We all got dressed up in our best festive attire.

Eric's outfit included a party hat because it was his birthday.
We had Secret Santa, which was just random things from around the home that would be put back at the end.

Mum followed the instructions on her candle, which says, "Smile until your face hurts."

Eric was delighted to receive a participation ribbon and instructions for a digital camera that is about 15 years old.

Following the gift exchange we watched The Disney Holiday Singalong.
We of course sang with the stars.
Seeing as it was a combined Christmas and birthday party we had a party game - Musical Statues.
Except Mum and Eric danced to a Christmas song, and each round they had to pose as something Christmas related. Rounds included Christmas tree, bauble and candy cane. These next photos are from the final round where participants could pose as anything Christmas related.

The celebrations wouldn't be complete without cake, so Mum purchased a plain white cake from Coles and I placed a few stunning decorations on top. The cake unfortunately looked better than it tasted.

We didn't sing the standard Happy Birthday song. Instead, we sang We Wish You a Merry Christmas with modified lyrics. We sang "We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy Birthday."
After a few more photos, cake and watching part of a Mickey Christmas special the party was over, but we only had to wait another week for our next party.

Stay tuned even more lockdown adventures.
