Winter in New York

I call this series: Trying to Get Everyone to Look at the Camera Alicia waved her arm a little too high to get Adelyn's attention. We’d pulled off the impossible. Everyone in the photo was looking at the camera.  In case you missed my last blog, this is my niece, Adelyn. I was visiting my sister, Alicia, and brother-in-law, Carlos in Long Island, New York in December. Someone had built a snowman, which was quite appropriate considering Alicia and I were off to watch Frozen II at Regal Ronkonkoma. We've now watched both of Disney's movies about the sisters from Arendelle together. in America. It wouldn’t be a true cinema experience without a couple of overpriced, oversized servings of popcorn.  The next day we all headed into the city. New York Niece

Before travelling from London to New York a customs officer was questioning me about my vacation and asked, "What will be the highlight of your holiday?" I responded, "Meeting my niece." I was finally going to meet my niece in person. Adelyn was born July 17, 2019 and since then I'd spent lots of time admiring her on video calls, but on December 8, 2019 I finally got to meet the adorable bundle of joy. Here are a few photos her mum (my sister) took of her while they were waiting for me to arrive. I guess I kept Addy waiting a little longer than she would've liked. I gladly sat in the back with my bestie on the way to Alicia and Carlos' place in Long Island. That night we did a little reading before bed.
